The bigger issue is why carriers and supercarriers are so small..

All carriers are too small. Check out a Hyperion next to a Thanatos, the battleship is bigger. Also, Wyverns are waaaay too small...

I honestly didn't notice a Wyvern, a supercarrier, in a blob of normal carriers...

As a Caldari pilot it's really odd to undock in my Golem beside a Mach, knowing I could kick his ass with ease, and then glance over to an Archon, which is near the size of the Mach, and know I wouldn't stand a chance. 
I wish they would redue how the Raven hull looks, just as they did to the Scorpion. You know make it look a little more like a Raven, I guess?

The reality is that the ships are actually quite large.
